D-aspartic acid (DAA) – raises level of testosterone

Aspartic acid, D– is a physiological amino acid which is formed in the body because of the conversion of L-aspartic acid to D-aspartate. It plays an important role in the production of sperm & sex hormones. It is a strong sexual stimulant, increases libido, improves erectile function, ejaculation, & prolongs the period of relationship & the same feeling of orgasm. Studies in humans have shown a significant increase in levels of luteinizing hormone (lutropin, LH). LH binding to receptors located on the surface of Leydig cells increases the synthesis of cyclic AMP (cAMP) & detachment from the side chain of cholesterol molecules. This is a key decisive reaction of increased steroidogenesis & thus the formation of testosterone . In addition, D-aspartic acid in your body increases dopamine & GABA levels & also increases production of nitric oxide (NO2, NO3).
